'The call to prayer seems so captivating. Does it ever get old/ordinary?'

The 5am wake up call never gets old.

The muezzin first thing in the morning is so suggestive. Unfortunately once I got used he didn't wake me up anymore :-P

Beautiful Istanbul, I'm SO jealous!

Really enjoyed this. I was laughing out loud at so many places - the aqua song (yeah I remember the band), the answer to how many rooms in your house, starting sentences with when I was your age ... (I'm starting to do that too ... alarming). And all the food just made me hungry. I really like the sound of those olives!

In Malaysia where I live, mosques can be found every few kilometres from each other. One's right behind my school, and there are few around the area where I live. Since I live in the suburbs, these mosques are pretty small though. Sometimes, I can hear the faint cry of prayers, but you just get so used to it that most of the time, you don't realize it.
